a modified caftan that can be worn so many different ways... with small slots at the side seams, you can wear the tie pulled through and wear
-with the tie resting on the inside at the small of the back and pulled through to tie in the front to create a flattering mock waistline
-or with the tie pulled through the slots only in the front to create more gathering in the front, or back
-or simply tied around the waist
-or left loose and use the tie as a head scarf!
Penthouse Gallery was started in 1955. In the early days of the label they sold through mail order catalogs. They manufactured casual ladies clothing and became known especially for one garment in particular — a modified caftan dress made from boldly printed cotton. The designer was Catherine Ogust.
